    Service is available 7 days a week to all wholesale delivery customers.

    Orders must be placed by 3 p.m. for next day delivery.

    (with the exception of brioche, which requires 48-hour notice)

    Hand Crafted

    We specialize in hand-crafted, traditional-method breakfast pastries. Croissant, danish, scones, muffins, sticky buns and puff pastry items. All made in-house, from scratch. We hand cut and roll each individual piece with a gentle hand and the care it deserves. 

    All Natural

    We don't open up cans of apple filling or lemon filling. We peel, core and slice apples then cook them on the stove with butter, sugar and spices to make our danish filling. We zest and juice lemons, then cook the lemon with eggs and sugar to make lemon curd. We are purists - no additives or chemicals.

    Each of us here at Hawthorne Fine Breakfast Pastry approach the work with a commitment to quality and a desire to produce our pastry to a European standard of excellence. We don't use dough conditioners, preservatives, or chemicals of any kind. Which is why we produce daily and bake nightly.

    Hawthorne Fine Breakfast Pastry crafts DAILY and bakes NIGHTLY traditional croissant, danish, scones, muffins, sticky buns and an assortment of puff-pastry items. We are strictly wholesale, delivering to some of the finest hotels in the DC metropolitan area, as well as restaurants, caterers, and specialty coffee houses. While adhering to traditional flavors and shapes of pastry, a lot of our flavors tend to run to the creative and wholly non-traditional. We’re not JUST cheese danish and pain au chocolat. Breakfast pastry lending itself as the vehicle, the flavors of fillings and glazes are at the whim of the chef.

    Now available for PICKUP - your weekend pastry box.

    Fridays 7am - Noon AND Saturdays 8am - 11am

    Pre-order by Wednesday at midnight and we will have your box available for pickup at the bakery.

    But now you have to tell me in the order notes which day you're picking up. We need to invoice it correctly and know WHEN to bake it!

     

    ALSO - we're doing a Deale MD pickup location twice a month. Some locals just aren't local enough! So, when we announce those dates - Deale pastry lovers, be sure to tell us in the order notes that it is for the Saturday DEALE pickup! Those hours will be 9am - 11am.
